Why do you use the word "acquire" instead of "learn" when talking about your Spanish program? Acquiring a language is a natural, intuitive and subconscious process in which the learner actively participates in real language interactions gathering patterns of languages and their structural uses in order to create and understand an infinite number of language combinations. Learning on the other hand, is the formal and conscious study of grammar rules and structures, verb tables, only leaving the learner with the memorized blueprints and tools for the job, but not the ability to use them. In the LIVIT Immersion Center language is only acquired. Click here to find out more about our method. What can I expect to learn in 2 weeks, 4 weeks, etc in LIVIT Immersion Center? We have six different levels of Spanish, each with a duration of two weeks. Everyone learns at a different pace, so this question is hard to answer specifically. We make no guarantees that these results will be the same as or similar to your individual results. We have done our best by listing "typical" results after: 1 week: Be able to talk and understand the basics; greetings; directions; descriptions; actions like eating, sleeping, running, etc.; ordering lunch; telling a shortened version of your daily routine. 2 weeks: Tasks such as ordering basic services, giving basic commands and taking an ordinary phone message. Additionally, talking and writing about your background, family, daily routine, likes, dislikes, special interests with a limited amount of vocabulary. 4 weeks: Extended ability to understand, speak and write on a wider range of ordinary topics with a broader vocabulary. Everyday conversations with a native speaker are well practiced. 8 weeks: Everything is starting to fly off your tongue and your pencil often without thinking when using common sentences and expressions. You have acquired a powerful vocabulary and can form thousands of combinations of sentences in Spanish fluently. 12 weeks: Thorough knowledge of the interworkings of Spanish. Ability to dynamically communicate across a broad range of topics comfortably and fluently. Thinking about what you'll say before you say it is highly diminished at this point as the biggest quest now is building upon your already large vocabulary. Do you offer one-on-one classes? Cheap Flight search tricks: Do a search using a popular flight finder such as orbitz.com and look for the cheapest flight. Then check that airline's site for the same flight to see if it is cheaper to buy directly from them. Keep in mind a travel website usually charges you a booking fee of around $15 a ticket. Most airlines don't charge this booking fee from their own sites and many times offer lower prices than through third party sites. Another trick is to check for trends. Check the flight on many different dates to see how prices change. Look at dates from a year from now. Then a month less and a month less, etc. See if the airline usually drops their price a few days before the flight departure. Check when the peak travel times are when airlines and hotels raise prices. Check different departure and arrival days to see which days of the week are the cheapest to fly. Call a travel agent to confirm cheap costs. Does Puebla have an international airport? Yes, however there are few direct flights and tend to be more expensive.
