  1. Get on Board - Spanish is spoken as a native language on 4 continents and in 21 countries
around the world.  It is spoken as a 1st or 2nd language on all continents, 75 countries
worldwide. Nearly 10% of the people of the world speak Spanish.
  2. Prepare for the future - By 2030, it is estimated that Spanish will be the 2nd most commonly
spoken primary language and by 2050 it will be the most commonly spoken language
worldwide. In the USA alone, 100,000 Hispanic babies are born each month.(http://www.
    20minutos.es/noticia/267100/4/castellano/segunda/lengua/)
  3. Create more business opportunities - Spanish is the second most common language in
    which business is conducted worldwide.
  4. It's easy to learn - Spanish is the easiest second language to learn for English speakers due
to its Latin and Germanic origin and the fact that Spanish is widely available.  In order to really
learn Spanish, you must have the ability to see it, hear it and practice it outside of the
    classroom.
  5. For your health - Learning and regularly using a second language has been proven to slow
the onset of Alzheimer's and other degenerative mental diseases. (http://www.nytimes.
    com/2011/05/31/science/31conversation.html?_r=2&ref=science)
  6. Have more career opportunities - Knowing Spanish opens doors that are otherwise shut.
Many employers are looking for bilingual Spanish / English speakers.
  7. Earn more - Full bilingual (English / Spanish) employees in the USA earn an average of
USD$7,000 more than those who speak only English.  (http://news.ufl.edu/2000/01/31/lingual/)
  8. Appreciate world Hispanic culture - Learning Spanish will help you to better appreciate
Hispanic culture and its contributions to the world.
  9. Spanish is fun to learn - Especially with the Livit Immersion Center, who offers two types of
personalized programs, a virtual program that you can take from anywhere and a total
immersion program in Puebla, Mexico that is a blast.
  10. Cheaper and more interesting travel - Traveling to a Spanish speaking country becomes
much cheaper and much more interesting if you know the language and can speak to the
locals.  They will tell you about the best local places to visit, the best restaurants to eat at, and
the best and cheapest places to stay.
  11. Travel to Spanish-speaking countries for free - Knowing the Spanish language increases
your opportunities to travel and see the world...for free. A personal student of ours travels to
Spanish speaking countries to give talks for organizations that pay 100% of his travel
    expenses.
  12. Help more people - Spanish allows you the opportunity to help more people that really need
it.  You could help interpret for a monolingual Spanish speaker in your community or help one
of many charitable organizations that need bilingual speakers to help in foreign countries.
